Permanent Makeup Services

Powder Brows

Powder brows is a semi-permanent tattoo, suitable for all skin types. This service lasts about 1-3 years, and ages well with the skin. They can be as light or as bold as desired!

Lashline enhancement

Lashline enhancement is the most natural looking eyeliner! It is applied directly to your lashline and gives the illusion of a darker and thicker lash.

Lip Blush

Lip blush gives the appearance of fuller lips. It heals to look like a tinted chapstick. Lip blush also helps to correct discoloration on the lips.

Removal

Removal requires multiple appointments in order to fade the previous work.

    General PreCare

  • You must bring your photo ID for the appointment.

  •  It is very important to refrain from all alcohol, aspirin, or aspirin products at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
These are forms of blood thinners and can negatively affect the permanent makeup procedure.

  • Please refrain from Ibuprofen, Motrin, Niacin, and Aleve for 24 hours prior to your appointment. The only product for aches
and pain that will not make you bleed is Tylenol.

  • Also refrain from Vitamin E and fish oil capsules for 7 days prior to your application. ALL of these make you bleed
excessively. Excessive bleeding during the procedure will negatively affect the longevity of your semi-permanent makeup
application. In some cases, the application will need to be prematurely stopped.

  • Please avoid energy drinks & coffee for up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. Not having caffeine in your system will
help you to relax much more easily, as well as help to relax the facial muscles in the areas we will be working on.

  • It is not necessary to have your brows waxed or threaded prior. If possible, leave your hair as natural as possible. This will help me get a better idea of where and how your hair naturally grows. I can remove and clean any unwanted hair after we
have agreed on a shape. If you insist, please have it shaped at least 3 days prior.

  • If you normally tint your brows, you MUST tint it prior to coming in. Please do so at least 5 days prior.

  • Please avoid any sun tanning or tanning beds prior at least 30 days prior and 30 days after the procedure. If you are
sunburned please contact me prior to the appointment to reschedule. This is to your benefit, as pigment will not retain as
well if your skin is already inflamed.

  • If your skin around the area we're working on is compromised: break out, rash, inflamed, bruised, blemished; unfortunately
we will have to reschedule. Please contact me prior to appointment to reschedule

  • Avoid chemical peels, Retin-A, retinols, at least 4 weeks prior and after

  • Those taking Accutane, antasure, and steroids must be off for a minimum of 6 months prior to treatment

  • If you intend on getting any botox or fillers around the treated area, please do so at least 2 weeks before or two weeks
    after.

  • Any facial cosmetic surgery should be done at least one year prior to the procedure.

  • For my survivors, you must be in remission for at least 6 months prior to receiving any tattoo services.

LIP BLUSH

  • Exfoliate your lips daily for 7 days with a sugar scrub and keep lips well moisturized. Dry spots on lips will snag the needle. You can
make a sugar scrub at home by mixing sugar with a few drops of coconut oil.

  • If you're concerned about bruising or generally bruising easily, you can start homeopathic Arnica. Two Arnica tablets can be taken 3x
a day for 5 days. You can start the day before and continue for 5 days following the treatment. (Topical Arnica is not recommended) To ensure pain tolerance and reduce bleeding:

  • Heighten pain is expected during menstrual cycle

  • If desired, Tylenol may be taken prior to the procedure. Aspirin and Ibuprofen are blood thinners, therefore should be avoided.

  • Clients who have had a cold sore in the past must be proactive to prevent a possible flare up post procedure.

  • Please consult with your physician PRIOR to appointment. (Many clients have avoided a cold sore post procedure by taking Valtrex or L-lysine. YOU MUST CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT PRIOR TO STARTING ANY MEDICATIONS.)

  • If taking Valtrex, please start taking one 500mg pill daily starting 1 day prior, take one pill  the day of, and 1 day post procedure. Keep in mind, you will need to premedicate as stated for your touch up session, if possible ask your doctor for 6 pills total (3 for initial session, 3 for touch up). L-lysine 1000mg must be taken daily 2 weeks prior to the appointment and 1 week after appointment.

After the treatment:

- Wipe the sealer off in 2 hours after your treatment, then apply a pea sized amount of the ointment provided on the brows.

- Start cleaning with the unscented antibacterial soap (dial soap is fine), and follow up with the ointment provided AM/PM with a qtip. Avoid your regular face wash on the brow area until fully healed (about 10 days)

GENERAL AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

- Avoid heaving sweating and exercise for 3-5 days

- Clean the eyebrow ONLY using antibacterial soap. Avoid your face wash coming in contact with the brows until they’re healed (about 10 days)

- Avoid any treatments involving touching the brows such as facials, lash extensions, etc. for 10 days

- Avoid the sauna, steam room and swimming in the ocean/pool for 10 days

- Avoid using makeup on the eyebrows for at least 10 days (blush, lipstick or eye makeup can be used)

- No other ointment other than the ointment provided should be applied to the brows for 10 days

- Neosporin or Bacitracin type products should be avoided in the treated area because they may negatively affect the color retention

- Sunbathing and tanning beds should be avoided for 10 days

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • First 2-4 days: The color will be a little dark. Slight swelling, thickness, and/or redness for 1-2 days following the procedure.
  • About day 4-7: Brows will start to scab/flake. Once all scabs/flaking  fall off, the color will appear very light to non-existent in some cases.
  • After 10 days and up to 6 weeks: The color will come back to its appropriate shade.

GENERAL HEALING EXPECTATIONS:

  • The color will appear softer once your brows are completely healed. It is normal to lose approximately 1/3 of the color during the healing process.
  • Please be patient. Complete healing takes about 6-8 weeks.
  • Your brows will appear approximately 20%-25% darker and wider than they will be when completely healed.
  • Natural exfoliation will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and narrow the width of your eyebrows
  • Don't be concerned that your eyebrows will initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire, this is all part of the healing process.
  • During your touch-up appointment (between 6-10 weeks) we can add more strokes or shading to any area that is needed. We can also go darker or thicker if wanted/needed.
  • Touch up is not mandatory. Some people love their brows after 1 session and touch up is not needed.
  • It is possible to even lose ALL colors and not retain anything. Some skin rejects the pigment (for no reason) but when it is introduced again in the second session it will have better retention.

PERFECTION IS NOT POSSIBLE. ALL PROCEDURES (ESPECIALLY PREVIOUS PMU & CORRECTIONS) ARE NOT GUARANTEED AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL SESSIONS.

Healed results will vary between each individual client. Using a pencil or powder for the brows may still be needed. Cosmetic tattooing is an art and not a science. We do not have any control over what occurs during the healing process. This is 100% you and your body's job. Everyone heals and accepts pigment differently. Even when following the aftercare; fading, blurring or poor retention can still happen depending on your skin and lifestyle. I recommend returning for a touch up session anywhere from 6-10 weeks after your initial appointment. Keep in mind, any touch up booked beyond the 10 week mark will include an additional cost.

Day 1: I love my new brows! Thank you so much!!

Day 2-4: My brows are too thick and dark!

Day 5-7: Oh no my brows are scabbing and falling off!

Day 8-10: Ugh! My brows are GONE!

Day 14-28: Yay! My brows are coming back! Still a little patchy and uneven

Week 8-10*After touch-up:  OMG!! I love them! I'm OBSESSED!!

UNTIL ALL SCABS FALL OFF:

  • Wash with water and gentle soap. No rubbing or scrubbing

  • Apply THIN layer of ointment on lips throughout the day. The key is to protect the wound and aid  the healing with moisture. Keep lips moisturized at all times. Do not let the lips dry out. (If you experience swelling, rashes, blistering, or other complications post procedure, discontinue ointment. You may be allergic to the ointment.)

  • Apply a thick layer only prior to shower, face washing to protect from unwanted soap.

  • Be careful with toothpaste and mouthwash. Use a minimal amount. Excessive amount will cause pigment loss

  • Rinse mouth with cool water after eating and reapply ointment.

  • Once lips crusts, scabs, and peels DO NOT pick or scratch. Picking and scratching can cause pigment loss.

  • No lipstick or lip gloss during healing to prevent infection. You may apply makeup once your lips finish peeling.

  • Drink liquids with a straw.

  • Avoid contact with food. Cut food into small bite size pieces. Avoid spicy or super hot food/  liquids.

  • Avoid: excessive sweating, gym, sauna, pools, sunbathing, spicy food, salty food, teeth bleaching toothpaste, wine, and acidic food.

  • Avoid Retin A, Glycolic Acids, Vitamin E, Terry Towels, Vitamin C (anything that promotes  accelerated healing and cell turnover) during healing.

  • After your lips have fully peeled, you are free to resume normal activities (working out, makeup,  pools, etc.)

  • No contact with animals, or gardening for 7-10 days (until area is completely healed) post  procedure and after all touch ups.

  • If you have excessive redness, swelling or tenderness or any red streaks going from the procedure site toward the heart, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site, contact your physician as the area may be infected and you may need to seek medical care.

  • Healing takes about 7-10 days and up to 3 weeks on some clients (especially diabetic clients)

  • Ointment and cream are NOT needed.

  • Expect slight swelling and a little redness in the immediate area.

  • Apply ice on day 1 if needed to reduce swelling

  • NO mascara until it is healed

  • NO makeup on the pigmented area until healed.

  • If a slight crust appears on the pigmented surface, do not force removal by picking or scratching!! You will remove pigment along with crusting) Eyeliner is not considered healed until all crusting has exfoliated.

  • Avoid washing the treated area for the first 24 hours.

  • Avoid hot, steamy, long showers.

  • The procedure may have some peeling on or around the 3rd day. This is a normal process of

  • Healing for some clients. DO NOT PICK! Picking can cause scarring and loss of color.

  • The application of permanent cosmetics can be a 2 steps procedure. Do not judge your

  • Procedure while in the healing stage. It may require a touch up.

  • Avoid the gym or sweating for 3-5 days following the procedure.

  • Avoid sun for 7-10 days following the procedure.

  • Avoid chlorine pools, saunas and jacuzzis

  • Avoid Retin A, Glycolic Acids, Aloe, and Vitamin E products.

  • No gardening for the first 3-4 days to prevent possible infection.

  • If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI, or other medical procedures inform them that you have had an iron oxide cosmetic tattoo.

  • If you donate blood it's a Red Cross policy to wait one year after tattoo before donating blood

  • Lasers can cause pigment to turn black. Avoid the procedure site.

  • If any signs of infection occur, abnormal swelling, redness or pain associated with the procedure call your physician (and please give us a call).
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF PIGMENTS.
*** At first sign of infections, we advise you to contact your physicians***

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE FIRST 7 DAYS AFTER EYELINER PROCEDURE:

First 2 days:

  • Slight swelling and/or redness for 1-2 days following the procedure.
  • On day 1, you can ice them for a few mins each time. Can be repeated if needed. Do not ice after day 1.

After about 4-5 days:

                ● Scabbing and or light flaking will occur. Please do not pick off the scab and let it fall off on its own

After about 5-8 days:

                 ● It could be itchy, and this is completely normal. It means the skin is healing.
